Ingredients
- 2Plum tomatoes, finely diced
- 1/2Sweet yellow pepper, finely diced
- 1Green onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp (25 mL)Chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL)Each salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 4PC® Blue Menu® Thick & Juicy Lean Beef Burgers
- 1/2 cup (125 mL)Shredded PC® Organics Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 4PC® Burger First - Whole Grain White Bun
How to make
- Step 1Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
- Step 2In bowl, stir together tomatoes, peppers, onions, basil, salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Step 3Place frozen burgers on grill; cook uncovered for 6 minutes. Turn burgers; cook uncovered for 3 minutes. Leave grill on. Using 1/4 cup (50 mL) measure, pack together 1/4 cup (50 mL) of the tomato mixture and turn out onto a burger; repeat with remaining tomato mixture and burgers. Top each with 2 tbsp (25 mL) shredded cheese. Close barbecue lid; cook another 3 minutes. Meanwhile, lightly toast burger buns.
- Step 4Serve each burger on a bun.
