Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (50 mL)Unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (125 mL)Packed brown sugar

- 4Bosc pears, peeled, cored and cut in wedges
- 6PC®Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffles
- 1/3 cup (75 mL)PC®Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
- 1/3 cup (75 mL)Toasted pecans, roughly chopped
How to make
- Step 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2Melt butter in large nonstick frying pan over medium heat; stir in sugar and salt. Cook, stirring, until sugar melts. Stir in pears; cover and cook for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until pears are tender and juices thicken. Remove from heat; let cool for 5 minutes.
- Step 3Meanwhile, place waffles on baking sheet; bake in centre of oven for 5 minutes, turning once, or until crisp and hot.
- Step 4Place chocolate spread in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 15 to 20 seconds or until pourable. Cut each waffle in half; divide among twelve plates. Drizzle each with about 1 tsp (5 mL) chocolate spread; top with pears and pecans. Serve immediately, with vanilla ice cream if desired.
