3 ways PC® Dealcoholized Mulled Wine With Natural Flavour can make dishes merrier

Dazzling Drinks

Mulled, spiced and ready to go, our dealcoholized mulled wine is made for so much more than sipping (though we do love to sip it).

Warmed on the stove, ladled into a mug and garnished with a cinnamon stick. We’ve done all the work for you, so this is exactly how our is meant to be enjoyed. But the bonus is that it’s more versatile than you think. This sweet, spiced blend lends itself to three very interesting off-label uses.

1.
Mulled Wine Poached Pears

Our dealcoholized mulled wine is the perfect substitute for both the red wine and the aromatics in a recipe for wine-poached pears. Simmer peeled, cored and halved pears in mulled wine and sugar until tender and easily pierced with a knife. Remove pears and boil the liquid until reduced and syrupy. Serve pears with and drizzle with mulled wine syrup.

2.
Spiced Caramelized Onions

Add 1 cup dealcoholized mulled wine to a pan of caramelized onions towards the end of cooking time. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally until most of liquid has evaporated and onions are jammy and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Serve alongside roast meats, sausages and mashed potatoes.

3.
Mulled Wine Spritz

Fill a tall glass three quarters of the way with ice. Pour in 3 ounces dealcoholized mulled wine, 1 ounce each fresh-squeezed lemon juice and orange juice and 1/2 ounce maple syrup and stir to combine. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with an orange peel and cinnamon stick.
