Help in Quebec
Diagnosed with autism (PDD), Olivier turned seven on March 11.
Thanks to the President's Choice® Children's Charity, he is receiving occupational therapy, which has had a positive impact on different aspects of his development.
Olivier has a hyposensitive body. Body brushing helps him to be more aware of his body. For example, he can "control" the intensity of the physical affection he shows people. Otherwise, this body hyposensitivity would entail strong sensations…often too strong for the others!
Olivier also suffers from hypersensitive mouth. But this summer he ate a cheeseburger and some pepperoni pizza for the first time. Just imagine! Parents who are happy that their son is eating fast food...
The President's Choice® Children's Charity lets us buy equipment and receive services that we would otherwise not be able to obtain, due to limited resources and long waiting lists.
Many thanks to the President's Choice® Children's Charity!
Renald and Martine (parents)
I wanted to let you know that the child I am treating is really enjoying her Tripp Trapp® chair, which she was able to acquire thanks to the President's Choice® Children's Charity. The chair lets her sit up properly, which improves her posture and makes it easier for her to concentrate, during our sessions, on learning the alphabet and her other lessons.
I work with many families who receive or have received financial aid from the President's Choice® Children's Charity. What a difference it makes in their lives! The charity gives precious assistance to children. Keep up the great work!
Once again, thank you!
